FOWLP PLC Programmer (m/f/d)

For the further growth of our company we are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer to support our Fan-out team. Willingness to travel and high proficiency in English and German are musts.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Write and debug Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) code as per customer requirements
  • Program graphic user interfaces
  • Maintain, document, troubleshoot, and debug PLC and HMI software for semiconductor equipment
  • Assist with the creation of machine manuals which includes reviewing manuals for content and accuracy
  • Perform field service work as required for installation, modification, and service of systems
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Monitor customer machine performance and provide a quarterly or as-needed update to peers and supervisor(s)
  • Provide appropriate input in writing, updating, and correcting various all ERS’s FO equipments
  • Documentation and Software release notes
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for training

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Automation Engineering or similar qualification
  • More than 3 years experience in PLC programming (Beckhoff, Siemens and other platform)
  • Advanced knowledge in PLC programming and high-level language programming
  • Well-rounded in SECS/GEM protocols
  • Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • As team player you can adapt well to engineering standards
  • Mechanical aptitude and an ability to use appropriate tools
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, clear understanding of electrical controls, and ability to fix mechanical components
  • Good level of German and English are a must
  • Chinese language skill is a plus
  • Able to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Willingness to work outside normal scheduled business hours, as needed as the position requires ca. 30% domestic and ca. 60% international travel
