Finance Director

For the further growth of our company we are looking for an experienced and analytical Finance Director with strong numerical skills to drive our company’s financial operations, improve financial performance and support us to scale up from a small-size company to a mid-size enterprise. You drive our financial strategy and assist our organization in improving our P&L and maintaining a healthy financial position.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Directing financial planning and strategy and overseeing internal controls
  • Analyzing complex financial data and reporting on financial performance across
    business segments
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies
  • Recognizing patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommending solutions to
    problem areas
  • Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets and monitoring cash flow
  • Overseeing audit and tax functions and guaranteeing compliance with financial laws
    and guidelines
  • Coordinating and preparing financial statements under IFRS and German and US
    GAAP in cooperation with external tax and payroll agency as well as auditors
  • Review of existing business transactions with regards to IFRS guidelines as well as
    adaptation of accounting methods for new business areas
  • Providing information to ad hoc queries from senior management
  • Be a key contact for all accounting related questions
  • Reporting directly to the CEO & CSMO and leading employees in your department,
    as well as coordinating external contractors
  • Maintaining good relationships with investors

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial management, preferably
    in the semiconductor equipment, the automotive or the machine industry in Germany
  • Financial management experience and professional experience in financially
    developing a small-size company to a mid-size enterprise
  • Very good knowledge of the accounting of financial instrument rules (IFRS, German
    GAAP and US GAAP) and broad knowledge of accounting principles
  • An analytical mind with a strong aptitude for math
  • Strong strategic thinking and good organizational skills
  • Outstanding leadership skills, high self-motivation and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Business fluency in German and English
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS-Office
