CAD Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Development and creation of constructive solutions for the “Thermal Wafer Chuck System” product portfolio
  • Preparation of 2D/3D design and detail drawings in the CAD software CREO
  • Creation of complete assemblies in the CREO CAD system
  • Creation of drawings and parts lists
  • Review of existing design drawings, evaluation of proposed changes and implementation of change documentation
  • Handling customer projects in design and development, as well as technical support in production, final assembly and commissioning
  • Technical contact for customers, purchasing and suppliers
  • Independent setup and execution of tests in the laboratory to evaluate products
  • Verification of modified and new functions
  • Preparation of cost estimates and cost comparisons for individual parts and assemblies
  • Supervising prototype construction and testing, processing change requests and implementing changes, checking the feasibility and optimization of design drafts with the work preparation department
  • Creation of schedules and flow charts, coordination of projects and project processes with suppliers
  • Transfer of our products to series production and close cooperation with production and quality assurance
  • Monitoring project deadlines
  • Maintaining and documenting inventory data and continuously improving processes
  • Collaboration in international teams

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in the independent design of thermal components, preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Confident and good handling of CAD systems: PTC Creo 4 or similar
  • Strong technical understanding, analytical thinking and results-oriented approach
  • Expertise in thermal simulation and optimization of products
  • Good handling of the FEM simulation software Ansys
  • A hands-on mentality is a matter of course for you
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills and creativity to work effectively with other departments, develop solutions and work independently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of ERP systems
  • Very good knowledge of English and German
